Technology Services has moved

Technology Services has moved from Carlson Hall of Science Room 131 to the Library building on the 2nd floor in Room 239. This also includes the copy center functions.

User Account Names

Emails were sent to all students advising them of the change in account format. The new format will apply to all accounts you have with SIU. For instance if your name is John Doe your username would be jdoe, your email would be jdoe@salemu.edu, and your portal account login would be jdoe. Please take note of these changes.

All emails have now been updated for active students in the student information system. This means that all campus related emails will now go to your salemu.edu email account. If you have any problems with your account please contact Technology Services by clicking on the link up top or by Clicking Here

Mock Crime Scene

As some of you may have noticed, a mock crime scene was held on September 23 outside of Carlson Hall. Students in the criminal justice program received some firsthand experience in working with a real crime scene.

" The Criminal Investigations and Forensics class conducted a mock murder scene. They surveyed the scene, documented evidence, processed and collected the evidence. They learned real world hands on experience in the modern techniques of forensics and criminal investigations." - Louis Roy
